Jacobs coffee house

Jacob’s is a coffee house with exacting standards and its own in-house bakery, based in the heart of Georgian Bath. We were approached by Jacob’s initially for a rebrand. The logo that the shop had previously commissioned for its launch didn’t embrace the brand values or aesthetic of the interior.

We took photographs of the eclectic, rustic and vintage interior as a moodboard for the branding. We then built a visual language based on the look of old signage, and developed this across  menus, signage, cups, stationary and loyalty cards. We also worked closely with Jacob’s to build a suite of photography to be used for the website. Shortly after the site was featured on ‘Creative Review’ online.

Jake from Jacobs comments

“Working with Flipside was very good. It was a new experience for me, so, essentially, I knew that I wanted the end result would be something where I wanted to be pleased with a brand, but I’d no idea or understanding at that point in terms of how we were going to get there. So it was important to work with somebody who would understand this business, what we were looking at, and ultimately work together on that end solution, and we definitely got that through initial meetings, mood boards, talking about competitors and what’s important to us as a brand.”
